Privacy Policy
How LookSpeak handles data for local gaze + dictation workflows, billing operations, and optional analytics.
1. Who operates LookSpeak
LookSpeak and lookspeak.ai are operated by Neoartisan Labs, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the app and website. LookSpeak is built around local-by-default gaze targeting and dictation workflows, and by using LookSpeak you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Where this policy applies
This Privacy Policy applies only to LookSpeak and lookspeak.ai. It does not apply to third-party tools, services, or websites you connect to or access through LookSpeak, and those services have their own privacy terms that you should review directly.
3. Data categories we process
We keep collection narrow and purpose-driven. Real-time interaction data, including camera and microphone input, is processed locally for gaze control and dictation, and by default we do not retain camera streams, microphone streams, or local transcription streams on LookSpeak servers. We also process account and billing data such as purchase metadata, receipts, plan status, and contact details needed to run the service, plus support information you provide when contacting us.
4. Local-by-default commitments
Our default product commitments are designed to minimize central data storage: local gaze, audio, and transcription interaction data is not used for model training by default; live camera and microphone streams used by core app behavior are not retained on our servers by default; and account-level identification is limited to security, billing, and access control purposes. If these core commitments materially change, we will provide notice before those changes take effect.
5. Optional analytics and diagnostics
Telemetry is optional and not required for core functionality. Analytics events are sent only if you explicitly enable analytics in settings; when enabled, analytics is used to improve reliability, performance, and product quality; and you can turn analytics off at any time.
6. Cookies and web technologies
The desktop app does not depend on ad-tracking cookies for core operation. The website may use limited technical cookies required for essential site behavior, and where consent is required by law we apply the relevant notice and consent controls.
7. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited account or operational data with payment, email, hosting, or support providers as needed to deliver the service, and those providers may process information only for authorized business purposes under contractual safeguards.
8. Security and retention
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including restricted access to account and operational systems. No security method is perfect and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. We retain data only as long as needed for product operations, legal obligations, and dispute resolution.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA. These may include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal data, and rights to request information about how your personal information is processed. You can submit requests by contacting privacy@lookspeak.ai.
10. Policy updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revisions are effective when posted unless otherwise required by law, and for significant changes we may provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
